Echo Chambers

If you’re anything like me—someone with a million different interests, a mind that never stops exploring, and a personality that can’t be neatly placed into one little box—then you probably know how hard it is to fit in anywhere. I’ve been called “contradictory” more times than I can count, but honestly, I love that about myself. I have no desire to conform, no interest in joining a group where everyone thinks, acts, and speaks the same way. Life is way too vast, way too beautiful, way too complex for that.

I want to experience everything. Even the things most people shy away from fascinate me, filling my mind with curiosity and wonder. But I’ve realized something: Most people aren’t built to embrace the full spectrum of life. They crave comfort, predictability, and control. They like their echo chambers, their tight-knit circles where nothing ever changes. And when someone like me comes along—someone who loves many different things, who wants to connect deeply across worlds, who refuses to be just one thing—it shakes them up. And oftentimes, they let me go because of it.

As a neurodivergent person, hyper-fixating on just one thing forever would drain the life out of me. I need movement, variety, possibility. And maybe that means I don’t belong to just one place, one group, or one way of thinking. But I do believe, deep down, that there are others like me—people who dream of a world where all of our differences can exist in harmony. Where we can create, build, and grow without boundaries. Where we can just be.

Maybe one day, we’ll all find each other. And when we do, we’ll build something beautiful. ✨
